Frequently Asked Questions
Does PNG support GPS data?
Yes, while JPG is more common for GPS, PNG files can store GPS data in XMP metadata or as iTXt/tEXt chunks. Our tool extracts data from all common formats.
How do I remove GPS from my photos?
Simply upload your photos, select "Strip GPS Metadata" in the tool settings, and download the processed images. The location data will be completely removed.
Is my location data sent to any server?
No. The map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap, but your image metadata is processed exclusively on your local machine. We never see your photos or your location.
